Magipix
Magi Haroon is a freelance sports photographer, specialising in Rugby League and Premier league football. Magi required a site where newspaper and magazine picture editors can go to look at her photos for various matches/events and download the photos of their choosing.
Previously editors would phone Magi asking if she had any pictures of a certain event, which she would then send some samples. The editors would then decide which photos they liked and she would then invoice for the chosen photos. Now the editors just go to the site, download what they need for a story and Magi invoices based on the download logs.
The design is loosely based on the popular iStock Photo, and encompasses some of the cool functionality found on iStock; features such as a larger preview when the mouse cursor passes over a thumbnail.
